Ruby Eclipse was inspired by the yellow and red color sunflower called Ruby Eclipse, the dark red variety of sunflowers called Black Beauty, the coral colored Black-Eyed Susan Vines and the hummingbirds in Emily’s garden.

Winter Rose was inspired by the hummingbirds and the many varieties of hellebore flowers blooming in Emily’s garden. Winter Rose is one of the many common names for hellebore because it blooms in the cold of winter.

Creative Process
It all begins with an idea - often inspired by nature like an encounter with a hummingbird in the garden or a walk on the beach with the whales, otters, and seals. After taking reference photos and gathering jars of leaves and flowers to guide her as she paints, Emily returns to her art studio to begin the joy of developing a creative project to share with the world.
